Program
The graduate-entry Bachelor of Nursing program prepares you to develop nursing skills, relate all aspects of body function with nursing practice, and continue gaining clinical experience in various health care settings. You will also explore complex health issues in nursing such as Indigenous health, nursing in a socio-political context, and mental illness. Topics cover areas such as the nursing profession and independent learning, contexts of nursing and primary health care, dimensions of physical and mental health, and pathophysiology and pharmacology.
Practical experience
The degree provides you with practical experience that prepares you for the workforce. Professional experience placements prepare you for the workplace, both simulated in state-of-the-art laboratories and in clinical venues in rural and metropolitan South Australia.
Admission Requirements
Completed bachelor’s degree
You must hold an approved degree in an area other than nursing. Holders of an approved three-year full-time or part-time equivalent, higher education diploma may also be eligible for consideration for admission.
Human biology, physiology, and anatomy related course
- 4.5 units (1 topic) (0.125 full-time equivalent) of study focused on an understanding of body structures and function.
